Beaches

 

If You feel like spending a day at the beach You will be happy to know that there are plenty of public beaches in the area. Here are a few of them.
 

West ("Gulf") Coast

 

Clearwater Beach

Clearwater Beach is rated as one of the best beaches in the USA. Here the soft sandy beaches provide a refreshing break from the fast pace of nearby attractions. But it doesn't stop with a wonderful beach. The last part of the trip here is an attraction itself, with all the beautiful scenery you pass on the way.

To get to Clearwater Beach simply go west on I-4 untill it ends by I-275. Continue south on I-275 for about 5 miles. Then, enter Stae Road 60 west and follow the signs for Clearwater.

East Coast

Cocoa Beach

Cocoa fronts on four miles of the beautiful Indian River. Recreational water activities including boating, parasailing, sail boarding, water-skiing and sailing go hand-in-hand with the temperate year-round weather.

To get to Cocoa beach simply go east on I-4 untill you reach Beeline Expressway (State Road 528, a toll road). Follow SR-528 east untill it ends by I-95. Then follow the sighns for Cocoa beach.


Melbourne Beach

While most of Melbourne is located on the Florida mainland, a small portion is located on a barrier island. The Indian River Lagoon separates the island from the mainland. The area is the perfect side trip for the Orlando vacationer with beach dreams.

To get to Melbourne Beach simply go north on highway 27 untill you reach highway 192. Follow highway 192 east to it's end. On the other side of I-95 you'll find Melbourne.
